Sometimes people are unaware of lies they tell or how they came to telling the lie. This worksheet dissects a lie. The worksheet could also be used to look at a behavior, perhaps with someone who bullies others.
One way to use this with a family is to have each person write down a lie they told during the past month - privately. Then when everyone is done, you can ask them to share - most likely they won't like the idea. This leads to a discussion of how it felt to write it, how it felt when asked to share, etc. Then this handout can be used to further examine the lie for each person. A discussion about the experience of lying can ensue.
If you are working with an individual, you can start with the worksheet.
